Silver Spring-based Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) business minded brand is en-route for its first location in D.C. proper.
Choice Hotels, Concord Hospitality and Roadside Development have come together to build-out a significant piece of the $300 Million CityMarket at O mixed-use development with the selection of a Cambria Suites brand hotel.
Construction of the 1-million-square-foot project bounded by 9th, 7th, P and O streets NW has already begun with a new Giant Grocery store planned to take space at the historic O Street Market.
Just a block north of the convention center, the 182-room will feature the three R's that's part of Cambria Suites experience including the Reflect dining experience, Refresh fitness center, rooftop pool hot tub, and spa, and Refill convenience store.
"We always knew we wanted to find the right hotel brand to be a part of this project and between what Cambria Suites offers guests and the proven track record of Choice Hotels and Concord Hospitality, we knew we had found the best hotel for CityMarket at O," stated Richard Lake, principal of Roadside Development.
The modernist designed hotel is expected to break ground in the fall of this year.
