Vocus Increases Subscribers, Releases First Fourth Quarter Guidance

Beltsville-based Vocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOCS), said in its third quarter 2011 financial report that it reached a number of milestones including a larger subscription base.

The company's President and CEO, Rick Rudman said Vocus added the largest number of new subscribers in its history. The addition of 998 new customerss was nearly double the 579 net new subscriber base in the same period last year. That brought total subscriber count to 10,855 across several subsidiaries the company owns including PRWeb.

Revenues for the quarter totaled $28.9 million a year-over-year increase of 17 percent versus the same time last year when it was $24.7 million.

The company narrowed its GAAP net loss to $212,000 or $-0.01 cents per diluted share. Non-GAAP was a net income of $0.21 cents per share.

For the first time, Vocus released fourth quarter guidance for GAAP EPS, in the range of $-0.04 cents to $-0.03 cents based on an estimated weighted average 18.8 million basic and diluted shares outstanding.
