The fifth Vida Fitness center will open its doors to customers Tuesday, January 24 at 12:30 p.m.
The high-end gym Located at 445 K Street, NW, is at the ground floor of the City Vista residential-retail project which includes apartments above and is anchored by a Safeway grocery store. The two-level space was formerly occupied by a Results Gym.
Parent company, DC-based Urban Adventures Companies, Inc, spent $500,000 over 2 months to renovate the 25,000 square foot space. Stoneking-von Storch Architects of Charlottesville, VA and Hallock Design Group of Miami, FL, designed the interior space which includes a 35-foot vestibule and grand staircase.
The fast expanding gym chain recently opened a 51,000 square foot flagship location on U-Street in the summer of last year.
The new gym at City Vista will have three different environments, one each dedicated to cardio, free-weights, personal and group training. Other amenities include private saunas and steam rooms. As featured in other Vida locations an Aura Spa is expected to be open 2013.
