SAIC Wins $19 Million Contract for Work in Washington, D.C.

Mclean-based Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) will provide engineering and physical life sciences research and development services in Washington, D.C.

The defense contractor announced that it was awarded a prime contract by the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) with a value of up to $19 Million.

The scientific research and development contract is intended to support the NRL Chemistry Division with work including but not limited to analysis and sensing; carbon cycling in aquatic, marine, and terrestrial ecosystems; materials; and development, analysis, and modeling of unexploded ordnance sensors. The work will be conducted mainly at NRL facilities in D.C.

Grumski, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
