Primus Telecommunications Group to Ring New York Stock Exchange Closing Bell

McLean-based PTGi (Primus Telecommunications Group, Incorporated) (NYSE: PTGI) which recently changed its stock ticker symbol to PTGI will ring The Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

The event will take place today with the honor given to chairman, President & CEO Peter D. Aquino. The company began trading under the new symbol June 27, 2011.

The company CEO said the listing on the NYSE is an evolutionary step for the company which has made strategic investments and boosted its balance sheet.

Primus Telecommunications Group is a global provider of telecommunication and internet services in several countries including a large presence in Australia where it is involved in building the nation's National Broadband Network (NBN).

The company also has a footprint elsewhere in the world including Canada and Brazil, the company provides services that allow for mobile communication globally.
