Maryland's state slot program revenue numbers were recently announced, here are the breakdowns.
Combined revenue reported for the states two casinos in October 2011 totaled nearly $13 million or $12,924,048.55. September revenue reported for the states two casinos totaled nearly $14 million or $13,975,401.29. In August the total was $13,110,342.46.
Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County continued to bring in the bulk of revenue totaling $9,094,694.36. The Casino which opened September 27, 2010, is close to the Delaware and Pennsylvania state borders and brought in $195.58 per machine. Year-to-date total was $37,135,320.50. In September the casino brought in $9,298,288.55 and $206.63 per machine.
The Casino at Ocean Downs, which opened January 4, 2011 in Ocean City brought in $3,829,354.19 total for the month and $154.41 per machine. In September the total was $4,677,112.74 for the month and $194.88 per machine.
State wide year-to-date total was $55,552,341.64.
The revenue is divided seven ways including 48.5 percent for the Education Trust Fund and down to 1.5 percent for Small, minority, and women-owned business programs.
