General Dynamics Wins Part of $1.9 Billion Contract to Support Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base

Falls Church-based defense contractor General Dynamics (NYSE:GD)was awarded part of a $1.9 billion contract through its General Dynamics Information Technology subsidiary.

General Dynamics was part of 26 awardees that won the contract to support the Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-ALC), Hill Air Force Base, in Utah.

Under the five-year Design Engineering Support Program (DESP) III contract General Dynamics will provide services related to engineering, technical support for Air Force Materiel Command weapons systems, components and support equipment. The firm will also be tasked with operational life, performance, safety and environmental sustainability of engineering systems and be responsible for education and training support for the systems

"The Department of Defense is continuously seeking new ways to enhance capabilities and improve sustainability while reducing costs," said Ken Hess, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics Information Technology's Air Force and Joint Services sector. "We understand the critical nature of those requirements, and will work with the Air Force and other services to design and manage integrated systems that both increase capabilities and serve as cost-effective, sustainable paths forward for future operations."
