Bethesda-based DiamondRock Hospitality Co (NYSE: DRH) Chairman of the Board filed with the SEC stock transactions that occurred the same day.
On July 14, 2015, William W. McCarten acquired 54 common stock shares of DiamondRock Hospitality. The transaction is part of additional deferred stock units awarded in connection with the reinvestment of a dividend as required by the terms of the deferred stock units.
The amount of shares held McCarten after the reported transaction is now 357,424.
McCarten is also on the board of directors for Marriott Vacations (NYSE: VAC), a timeshare focused spin-off of Bethesda-based Marriott International.
DiamondRock Hospitality also announced today that it purchased a 184-suite Sheraton Suites in Key West, Florida for $94 million or $11,000 per room. The hotel to be re-launched as a lifestyle resort will be manged by Ocean Properties.
DiamondRock Hospitality stock was up over 1 percent in afternoon trading to $13.68 cents per share. The 52-week high is $16.01 per share and the low price point is $12.15 per share. The Lodging REIT has a market value of approximately $2.69 billion.
