CSC Awarded $86 Million U.S. Department of Homeland Security Contract

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has chosen Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) (NYSE: CSC) to lead a task order for emergency priority telecommunications services.

The Falls Church-based defense contractor will follow instructions from a White House directive to support National Security/Emergency Preparedness communications. CSC said it will support the priority telecommunications services of the National Communications System (NCS) via engineering and planning; implementation and integration; communications; and operations to prepare the nation if it happens to be in a time of war.

The task order which dates back to 2006 has a value of $86 million with a one-year base period, up to three one-year options and one four-month option.
