Audi reported 9,146 units sold for July 2011, a 17% rise from July 2010 when only 7,817 vehicles were sold.
The Luxury brand of Volkswagen AG with U.S. headquarters in Herndon grew year-to-date sales by 15.6% to 65,055. July was the seventh consecutive month record-breaking sales.
The top three sellers were the A4 with 2,274 units followed by the Q5 with 1,900 units and the A5 with 1,313 units.
"As demand for the Audi brand in the U.S. continues to climb, it is clear that Audi is setting the standard for luxury vehicles," noted Johan de Nysschen, President, Audi of America. "We are pleased to see consumers continue to reward Audi for its industry-leading technology, excellent craftsmanship and superior performance."
